Beloved wife of the late Frank passed away peacefully, holding the hand of her dear daughter Gisela, on Wednesday, September 28, 2016 at Regina Gardens Long Term Care. Ilse is the joyful, loving, dedicated mother of five: Gisela (the late Robert) Vert, Roswitha Matuschek, Horst (Linda) Cawi, Barbara Cawi, and Brigitte (Earle) Grover. Mischievous and proud grandmother of 12 and great-grandmother of 20. Ilse endured the struggles of War and Post-War Berlin before immigrating to Canada in 1956 becoming a proud citizen. A founding member of St. Boniface Roman Catholic Church, she was well known for her crafting skills in the Women's League. Her greatest pleasure in life was found in her grandchildren and great-grand- children. Friends and family will be received at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME-FENNELL CHAPEL, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton on Friday, September 30, 2016 from 4 to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at St. Elizabeth's Village Church, 393 Rymal Road West, Hamilton at 10 a.m Saturday, October 1, 2016. Donations to the Children's Wish Foundation or Regina Gardens Long-term Care would be appreciated by the family.
