Born in Arnstadt, Germany, passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 18, 2011 at the Hamilton General Hospital in her 89th year. Gone to be reunited with her loving husband Albert. She will be fondly remembered by Karin Heyl, Renate Hengle and Werner Weiss of Germany, and by her dear friends and neighbours, Sharon Grover, Ken Dowling, Darcy and Barbara Drury and Agnes Wellenreiter. Special thanks to the caring staff at 7 South Stroke Unit at the Hamilton General Hospital. Friends will be received at the MARKEY DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Tuesday, December 20, 2011 from 6-9pm. Funeral Service will take place from the Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday December 21, 2011 at 1:30pm. Interment in Eastlawn Cemetery to follow. Donations, in lieu of flowers, in Hella’s memory to the Hamilton & Halton SPCA or to a charity of your choice, will be appreciated.
