Gloria Hammond

Loving wife of Gord for 24 beautiful years. Cherished mother to Cristina (Sean) and Daniel (Rebecca). Adored stepmother to Sarah (Chris) and Robert. Beloved grandma to Skyler and Parker. Greatly missed by her mother Edea and is predeceased by her father Michael and her sister Gina. She will be missed by her extended family and friends.

Gloria spent 24 wonderful years with her best friend and devoted husband Gord, who was by her side until her last breath. Their life together was full of love and laughter. Gloria also enjoyed lots of time spent with friends and family, especially her children who were her pride and joy. She loved planning all of our family gatherings, and somehow managed to make sure that everyone's favourite food ended up on the table. Her home was always a welcoming place with an open invitation for anyone to drop by. Gloria's favourite role of all was that of grandma. From the moment each of her grandchildren were born, she spent every moment that she could with them. She kept their favourite snacks stocked in the house, and always went out of her way to spoil them with love and attention. Gloria lived a beautiful life full of happiness, and we will all deeply miss the bright light that she shone upon our lives.

Memorial Visitation at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East, Hamilton on Friday, January 19, 2024 from 1pm until the time of the Memorial Service in the Chapel at 3pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
