George Secord

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of George Secord, with his wife and girls by his side. He leaves behind the love of his life Janice. Loving Daddy of Michelle (Joe) and Kristen (Josh). Cherished Papa to DJ (Caitlin), Austin (Jess), Meagan (Jory), Eleni and Selena. He is survived by his siblings Barbara (Gary), Susan, Debbie (Dan) and sister-in-law Marlene. He will be missed by his nephews and niece. He will also be greatly missed by Jenn (Ty), Amy (Allan) as well as their families and many other close friends that have become extended family. Pre-deceased by Betty and Jason. His best friend Zoey, who was always by his side, will forever miss him and his treats.

George loved spending time with his family, fishing, playing guitar and making homemade burgers for our pool parties and celebrations. George will be remembered for always being right and knowing the best way to do things.

“Gone fishing”

In accordance with the regulations of the Bereavement Authority of Ontario due to COVID-19, all visitations, funerals and interments are restricted to a specified number of attendees. All visitors will be required to wear a face covering, as well as provide name and telephone number to funeral home staff. Friends and family are invited to the MARLATT FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION CENTRE, 615 Main Street East, Hamilton, on Friday October 2, 2020 from 2:00p.m.-4:00p.m. and 6:00p.m.-8:00p.m. Please follow the directions of the funeral home staff upon arrival.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Joseph’s Respirology Unit or to the family would be appreciated.
