I did not know Elvis well but knew him as a friendly neighbour with always kind or funny comments, especially when we both where raking the everlasting leaves at the sale time.

I was so saddened to hear of the tragic news of Elvis’ sudden passing. I went to Bishop Ryan with Elvis. He was so kind and friendly to everyone.

I didn't know Elvis long, or well, but he left an impression on me and much of the work I do. His insight and ability to reason were invaluable.  We didn't always agree, but that's what made our collaboration so  important.

The world has lost an incredible mind, a loyal friend, and a strong heart.  My heart breaks for those closer to him; this is a loss that will always be felt.

I knew Elvis for a short time a few years ago but the impression he made on me was never forgotten. He was there when I obtained the best piece of evidence I ever got while exploring the universe. I have his voice recorded and still listen to him. Tonight I will play it again. To remind me of the wonder and discovery we all have inside us. Rest In Peace now you have those answers you were looking for.

I'm a student at Wood's Premier and Elvis is the reason why I train Krav Maga. He always pushed me to work hard and always had a smile on his face. I always enjoyed learning from him. 

I will miss seeing him and running into him on McMaster campus. He would always stop to chat with me if we ran into one another. 

I miss him already. Rest easy, Elvis. 


How do I say goodbye to a man who's been such an integral part of my life for almost 30 years?  A man who has shared in my greatest joys and assuaged my deepest griefs.  As a person, Elvis was both wonderful and flawed.  His welcoming demeanour and reliability sources of strength which buoyed me.  His weaknesses, opportunities to show that I could offer to him a measure of the support that he so often provided.  That he was, indeed, as mortal as I and that my friendship could mean to him as much as his meant to me.  As he takes his leave from us to boldly go to whatever mystery awaits, I can think of only one thing to say:

Good bye, my friend. I always thought we had more time. 
Anyone who reads this, don’t waste another day. Pickup the phone and tell the people,  that are important to you, that you love them. Don’t wait until tomorrow, tomorrow may not be there.

I met Elvis in high-school. I was lost and not sure   which way to go. He gave me directions with a smile and helped put me at ease about my first day. We then worked together on the avr Equipment and many school concerts and things. He became a good friend. He always had a smile or a hug for you in the halls and, he had a way of putting people at ease. My Heart along with many others I have talked to are broken.  The world feels a little colder now. I send my deepest heartfelt condolences to his family. May they find peace in knowing he touched many people’s lives. He will never be forgotten. God speed Elvis.

I remember Elvis as one of the nicest, most polite, friendliest,  gentlest guys that anyone could ever meet.  You will be missed, Elvis! Too soon, too soon, too soon ... I'm sure we're all thinking this was far too sudden, too soon. So hard to understand this and we may never comprehend.  My condolences ... my heart ... goes out to family, friends, co-workers, everyone knew him.  May you feel grace somehow, at sometime. It was a blessing to have known him. Peace and blessings ..  

Elvis you were a wonderful friend and an excellent neighbour. I will miss our chats over the fence (and pool)..I will miss your love and kindness to every one of our family. I do have to mention your brawn! Whenever we needed help moving anything we could count on you. Our whole family feels the loss of you. My actual favourite memory of Elvis is any Halloween costume he wore but especially the one with the big curly wig. Also the look on his face when our families bumped into each other in Epcot (Florida) miles away from home. Who just runs into their next door neighbour at Disney by accident? Elvis did! We mentioned it often. He was utterly devoted to his family. He loved them with a fierce devotion. Christine, Alexa and Brendan no words could ever express our deep sorrow for your loss....for everyone’s loss. He will be sorely missed by the Williams family.

To Elvis's family: my sincerest condolences. 

I am one of Elvis's students at his Krav Maga lessons at McMaster. 
Elvis was able to make difficult scenarios bearable with his amazing humor. He cared about each of his students, and encouraged them when they felt they weren't great. Despite a busy university schedule, I was committed to attend and looked forward to every one of his classes each Wednesday night. I don't regret a single moment learning under him.

He has left a positive impact on so many lives, and many generations to come. I look up to Elvis and will keep everything he taught me close to my heart.

Elvis and my son Doug have been friends for a long time. I know first hand that my son is devastated by this tragic loss of such a young mans life. Especially one who leaves a loving wife, children and family behind. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family; that they have divine help in getting through this difficult time.

Hour after hour,  I have thoughts like,  I need to see if Elvis is free for lunch sometime next week, or I have something I need to ask him, just a thought or an idea... 
or to seek advice on how not to mess my life up even more than i already have...  each though drives the sorrow deeper into my heart. Because my brain can't compute that he is gone. 

Recently someone asked me to tell them about my friendship with Elvis and who he is to me.   I have been very blessed to have a hand full of True Friends and Elvis was our Alpha.  

You could not ask for a better man to lead you or " to be the glue that binds a group together"   he is Unbreakable loyalty.  A friend who would go to the end of the earth with you,  or for you,  no questions asked.  Always reliable,  accepting,  helpful, caring and monstrously strong.  Someone you knew would never sugar coat anything and give you the best advice because they are never wavering,  and always true to who they are.  He would never give up or surrender.  Also he is brilliant,  creative and could always make me laugh.  I loved game nights or just sitting by the camp fire with some whiskey and cigar with him. 

Im honoured to call him brother,  and to be apart of his family.   This crazy world is getting crazier and crazier by the minute...   

Completely unbelievable. 

So always talk to people like you don't know what tomorrow will bring.

I am incredibly saddened to hear of Elvis' passing. I had the immense pleasure and privilege of training with him at Premier Martial Arts for many years. We also ran several women's self defense workshops together, which are some of my most cherished memories.

He was a tough but fair training partner who always encouraged me to push my limits. Without him, I'm not sure I would have gotten as far as I did in Krav Maga. I trusted him completely as a training partner and knew that he always had my safety, and the safety of other women, in mind. I am so sorry for your loss and I will be thinking of your family in this difficult time.

I am so sorry to hear of Elvis' passing. I have only known him for a few weeks through Krav Maga at McMaster, and even in that brief time he stood out as a kind, patient, and inspiring person. My condolences to his family and friends, I am sure he will be deeply missed.

I took Krav Maga a few belts behind Elvis and saw him at his toughest, so it is a particular shock to me to hear that something took him at this stage in life. Easily one of the friendliest and most supportive people I have known, he will be missed but remembered.

My dear friend, I am heart broken that you are gone.  Heart broken for your family who you adored and who adored you.  Heart broken for the legion of friends you have left behind, many of whom admired your kindness, humour, intelligence, creativity, and determination.

You were a nexus, a person around whom energies and people gather.  When I met you in high school you were friendly and kind.  I don't think you ever knew how much your acceptance helped me and I have often looked to you as an example of how to be yourself and be happy.  I think many others felt the same way about you.

You made life look easy my friend, even when things were tough.. You married your high school sweet heart and together you worked to build a beautiful family.  I am heart broken for the milestones ahead that you will not be there to enjoy.

Though you are gone from us now you have left your imprint upon us all.  I will continue to admire the way you lived, and hold you as an example of a life well lived.

Rest in peace my friend.  Our heart beak will heal, but your loss will also always be felt.

Elvis was one of the first persons I met when I started working at MIP.  He was so very kind and always took the time to help me.  I called him my "go to" guy.  I remember going in to visit him at McMaster to thank him personally for all his support.  I surprised him and even thought I'm sure he was busy he sat and talked to me.  Whenever I had a problem and needed immediate help I knew I could call Elvis and he would there for me.  What a great guy.

I send my deepest condolences to his wife and children, to his parents, and to all who were lucky enough to know Elvis.  He will be missed.  Rest in Peace Elvis.  

I have been incredibly fortunate to have known Elvis for the past ten years, and am deeply saddened to have been robbed of the chance to add 30 or 40 more to that number.  During that time, I have met more great people, attended more concerts and events, been more creative and explored more things than I could have imagined...and it is very much due to him.

Elvis was that rare individual that was the sun in so many peoples' universe, around which we revolve and gain light and warmth.  While he could disarm anyone with his martial arts skills, he always did it with his kindness and exuberant nature.

The real testament to Elvis is the many long friendships that he cultivated over the years, and the number of those people that would include him as one of their closest friends.  I am one of those people.

When we moved to Ancaster from Toronto Elvis was one of the first to welcome us. His welcome was warm and welcoming. We shared many a laugh and groan when we where raking leaves, A cheerful, friendly neighbour will be missed.

Elvis was simply one of those people that you just couldn't think of one negative thing to say about.   He was always happy, friendly, caring and giving.  Someone, when you meet for the first time, becomes a life time friend.  Even though I didn't have the chance to spend a lot of time with Elvis, he was just that, a friend for life, a good man, and he will be missed dearly by all.

I want to thank you for all the happy years and for making me a better person because you shared your life with me. 

I love you more than I can ever say more than I could ever show. You were my rock, my everything. 

You taught me and the kids strength, and that strength pushed you for these gruelling days. You never gave up. The kids and I will carry on your legacy by being strong for each other although we are in hell right now. 

Rest now my darling and I will fly with you again. 

You have always been my one and only and we shared a bond that transcends this lifetime.

Elvis was by far one of the greatest individuals I have ever met. 

He was kind, compassionate, creative, humorous and had deep devotion towards the people in his life, especially his family.

I will always treasure our chats, talks, collaborations and especially our laughs.  He was truly someone to look up to and someone who inspired me in many ways.

I know we had planned on many travels and journeys, but these will have to wait until you save a beach chair for me.

When I was struggling for income, and our yearly trek to Buckhorn was on the horizon, Elvis stepped up and made sure I could still attend.  That kind of friendship and love for people made him the best of us.
