Elsie Agatha Bailey

Born in Port Maria, Jamaica on December 24, 1936, the oldest child of Henry MacLeod and Eulalee Francis. Elsie or "Nettie" as many of her loved ones would refer to her as, was a dedicated and loving mother of 5 boys; Tony Ashpole, Donovan Ashpole, Hugh Bailey, Trevor Bailey and Maurice Pinnock. She was a cherished grandmother and great-grandmother to many. She is survived by one living sibling Joey in Port Maria, Jamaica and deceased siblings Edgar, Enid and Ruth. Elsie was a woman of faith and loved to attend church. She held the honour of being the first female District Constable in Jamaica. She retired to spend her days with her grandchildren and meeting her friends for coffee. She will be missed dearly. Resting at Cresmount Funeral Home - Fennell Chapel, 322 Fennell Avenue East, Hamilton for visitation on Thursday, May 23, 2024 from 4-8 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the chapel on Friday, May 24, 2024 at 11 a.m. Interment at Mount Hamilton Cemetery.
