Elizabeth Geric

It is with deep Sadness that our family announces the passing of dear Elizabeth on Monday October 2nd, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Hospital at the age of 84. Elizabeth was very involved with her Church and a proud member of the Women’s Catholic League. She will be reuniting with her beloved husband of 53 years Jozef Geric. Along with beloved brother in law of Stefan Geric & his wife Irma Geric. Loving Mother of Mirko (Sandra) and Joe (Shelly Savard-Geric), Cherished Nana of Larissa (Dayne Tooze) and Joseph. Cherished and loving Mamca of Jozef Jr. Cherished Great-Grandmother of Zoe and Bryce. Dear Sister of Stefan Sobocan (Ana Geric (Deceased), Beloved Aunt of Rose Geric (daughter of Stefan & Irma Geric). Beloved cousin of Joe Lackovic (Vera Mertik) and their children Joe Lackovic Jr. (Andrea) their children Alison, Mya and Zander and Anika Oldham (Dave) their son Lucas and Matija Sobocan (Marija Sukich). Elizabeth had many, many beloved ones and dear friends, we would like to thank all of you for being such good people and for being so supportive. We do feel the need to give special thanks to Father Drago Gacnik (St. Gregory the Great Church) Joe and Vera Lackovic, Teresa and Ignac Sarjas, and the Savard Family for everything you have done. Friends may call at the MARKEY-DERMODY FUNERAL HOME, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Friday October 6, 2017 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. Vigil prayers 3:30 pm. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at ST. GREGORY THE GREAT SLOVENIAN CHURCH, 125 Centennial Parkway North (at Delawana Drive) on Saturday morning October 7, 2017 at 10 am.
