Passed peacefully at St. Joseph’s Hospital in her 94th year. Loving wife for 72 years of Ronald (deceased July 2024). Beloved Mother of Marla and Tom (Heather). Proud and doting Nana to her only Grandchild, Christine. Loved sister of Sandra Allen. Previously deceased by her sisters Ruth, Gladys, and Lois and survived by brother Robert. Adored Aunt to her many nieces and nephews.
Dolores spent many hours volunteering her time and baking skills at Linden Park United Church where she was a long-time member. Mom’s passion early in her married life was knitting and sewing so that Marla and Tom could wear the clothes she so meticulously made for them. When Christine was born her Nana happily went back to work making clothing for her as well. Dolores in her later years volunteered her time with the Cancer Assistance Program sewing quilts and knitting caps and blankets for those in need. Dolores has resided at the Extendicare LTC facility since January of this year where she received exemplary care from her doctor, nurses, and PSW’s. We are so very thankful for the compassion they showed towards our Mom.
Thank you to the doctors and nurses on the 7th floor, Mary Grace Wing at St. Joseph's Hospital for the compassion and care shown to our Mother and Nana.
Family will receive friends at CRESMOUNT FUNERAL HOME, 322 Fennell Ave. E., on Monday January 6th from 11am until time of the service at 1pm in the chapel. Internment will take place immediately after the service. In lieu of flowers donations made to the Cancer Assistance Program or The Alzheimer’s Society of Hamilton and Halton would be greatly appreciated. Online tributes and condolences may be made at www.cresmountfennellchapel.com
