I'm so sorry for your heartbreaking loss of such a kind and beautiful soul. It was an honour and a pleasure to have known Derek and grown-up with him. I have many fond childhood memories of the summers we spent together as kids camping at Elora Gorge or walking to the local corner store for popsicles or playing in the backyard in the kiddie pool on Crockett.  We were always surrounded by music, love and laughter. No matter what, good times were always had by all.  I still find myself remembering those summer days past whenever a song plays on the radio from Neil Diamond or Eurythmics. I will forever cherish those beautiful memories and the musical influences that the Davis family has instilled in me.  Rest in paradise Derek, for you will be greatly missed but will forever live on in our hearts. 

You will be missed Derek, I wish things could be different but I will always remember you for the kind hearted and fun loving man that you were. You touched us all with your jokes and laughter. The good times we had will always be cherished. I’m very sorry things ended the way they did. Your family loves you and isn’t the same without you here. Xo

My deepest condolences to Derek’s family first and foremost  I still can’t believe what I am hearing D you were and always will be  Tripple OG  in my eyes  lol they don’t make them like us anymore eh brother the respect and loyalty you showed not just myself but others your generosity  plus your go get it attitude Not to mention contagious smile you were always cracking a joke to lighten up any situation I remember about a month ago running into you at the GO that conversation is embedded in my mind forever till we meet again my brother  much love rest easy 

I am so oblivious to the passing of my dear friend, I did not believe it when I heard that you had passed no did I want to believe it, few memories shared and never be forgotten, you'll be missed by many of your peers, friends and family, so suddenly taken to soon to be taken you'll always have an image always remembered with in me, I'll miss you my friend still wish it wasn't true and only a very bad joke...

Was a sunny day, just up the Ferguson walk way, heading home. To seeing a guy on a bike coming our way... Then bam! His poor bike unraveled from underneath him, and him and the bike both hit the ground. It was almost like it was slow mo. When I realized it was Derek, I couldn't stop laughing. He just kept smurling and giggling on how sad he was, that the bike was broken, rather than the fact of him falling. He definitely had a personality of laughter and seeing others smile, an was always high spirited. I'm so sorry, my condolences to Ashley, and his family :( heaven gained a smile everyone knows an remembers. A laugh that'll live on forever. An a memorable experience, that can't be beat.

Derek, my handsome and funny brother.  You’ll be so missed by so many.   We’ve shared lots of great memories but most significant are the ones together up at Bob’s Lake and camping in our motorhome as kids.   Your final days were difficult but you had a good life and I will cherish the loving times we had all together as a family.   Our family will never be the same without you but we will carry your honour and memory forever.  I hope you’ve found peace- love you ❤️

This is so terrible to hear the loss of Derek. As a chid my family spent a lot of time with the Davis’s. I always remembered Derek as the funny one who even as a young child would make you laugh. You had so much affect on people even when you were young. May you soar with the angels and Rest In Peace. My prayers are with Betty, Donnie, Adam and Holly and all his extended family❤️❤️❤️

Words cant describe how I feel right now my heart aches so bad and I miss my love like crazy. I am so sorry to his parents know that derek loved you guys more than anything he talked highly of you all to me all the time. 
I will never doubt the love derek had for me .I was his first thought in the morning and the last at night . He always drove our friends nuts with talking about me constantly . He found his dream girl and he wrote it to me in a letter that I am thankful for because he wrote that I am too at peace I know he too loved me as I did to him.
My favourite memory of him is last week when he proposed to me for the third time this year only this time I said yes he is my soul mate and I feel empty and lost without him by my side. I  had to laugh though cause he proposed but bought his self  a ring, little did I know he had planned to split the ring into two so we both had one so sweet but that was my love. Derek was always thinking about sweet things like this for me  And others all the time. I really loved him he was equally loved back he was respected by many.  I tried to do what I could for him and i want his mom to know that i loved her son almost as much as she did if not the same and he knew it I hope that gives you some peace to know how much I cared and loved your boy.  Know that he loved his family and missed you all very much and told me everything he has done to you  and i truly believe he felt remorse and needed to have forgiveness and he really wanted to make a mends with you guys.  he always thought I be the reason you all re unite together. I look forward to meeting you all he will be smiling and  at peace he always told me how you all love me like he did. Derek ev you will be on my mind, I will miss you every day, I'm so lost without you babe 
 I promise I will try and do better. I am so glad I met u and that i had the opportunity to fall into Love you, you mean the world to me and until we meet again rest easy my love I miss you so much xo 💔

So very sorry for your loss. We remember when Derek was born during your move from Fullerton to Crockett like it was yesterday. You are in our thoughts.
