Beloved husband and best friend of Marilyn for more than 50 years. Loving father of Jerritt, Glen (Sharon), and Wade. Proud grandpa to Rebecca, Brendan, Mackenzie, Trinity, and Autumn. He will also be lovingly remembered by his siblings Louise (John), Susan (Lloyd), and Ron (Shauna), and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends in Ontario and Glace Bay, Nova Scotia.
Charlie is reunited with his parents Willis and Laura Strong.
He was born in Mississauga, Ontario but his heart was always rooted in Glace Bay where his family is from. He lived there for a few years as a child and then later in life, in retirement. He followed in his father's footsteps working as a Bindery Operator. He enjoyed fishing, boating, camping, playing guitar, and riding motorcycles but the most important thing in his life was his family.
In accordance with his wishes, cremation has taken place and a Celebration of his Life will be held at the Moose Lodge, 1860 Barton Street East, Hamilton on Saturday, March 2, 2024 from 1 - 5 pm.
As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Alzheimer Society of Canada or the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by his family.
