Predeceased by the love of her life, Alexander Stewart. Cherished and dearly loved mother of Leslee Stewart (Steve Kirsner), and the late David Stewart. Proud grandmother of Craig (Darcie) and Kyle. Great-grandmother of Maryn and Camden. Fondly remembered by Lynn. Anne was predeceased by her siblings Edward (the late Mary), Peter, Bernice (the late Walter), Amelia, Mary (the late Alex), Zigmund, Julie (the late Benny), Frank (the late Betty), Joseph (the late Stella) and Charlotte (the late Ed). She will always be lovingly remembered by her many nieces, nephews and extended family. Anne was very proud that she was born in Sydney, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. At the age of 19, she came to Hamilton to join some of her siblings for more opportunities. On New Year's Eve of 1947 she met the love of her life, Alexander Stewart and they were married on November 11, 1950. They raised their family in Hamilton, where Alex was a Staff Sergeant with the Hamilton Police Department and Anne took care of the home and cherished her life as a mother and wife. She was a devout Catholic and a longtime parishioner of St. Eugene's Roman Catholic Church. When Alex retired they traveled and went on many cruises together and enjoyed their time cottaging up north near Parry Sound. Alex passed away on November 25, 2008. Anne moved to Amica Dundas in 2010 and was blessed to have been able to spend her final years surrounded by the care and compassion from the care team. The family wishes to thank Amica for everything they have done for Anne. A special thank you to Dr. Macaluso.
