Ann Balogh

It is with saddened hearts that we announce the passing of Annie Mary Balogh on September 11, 2014 at the age of 54 after a courageous battle with cancer. Ann will be dearly missed by her husband and best friend of 32 years, Aron her “Honey”. Dearest mother of Kevin (2013) and Kristen Balogh (Jeff Marquette). Loving grandmother to her newborn granddaughter Peyton Ann. Ann is predeceased by her parents Ivan and Maria Koczerzat and mother-in-law Mary Balogh. Cherished younger sister to Irene Kosubovich (Paul, 2011) and Robert Koczerzat (2013). Ann will forever live on in the hearts of her sisters-in-law Vivian Toldi (Ernie, 2002) Jean Wilson (Warren) and Jan Fowler (Mike). Aunt Ann/Chocha Hanya will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews; David (Amber), Linda (Shane), Lisa (Brad), Glenn (Tanya), Sherri (Todd), Ken (Deborah), Keith (Michelle), as well as many great nieces and nephews. Ann worked for the Hamilton District Catholic School Board (STM) and will be missed by many colleagues. A heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Juravinksi Hospital C3 ward and to Dr. Ellis and his team for all their hard work throughout Ann’s incredible journey. The family will receive friends at the Markey Dermody Funeral Home, 1774 King Street East (at Kenilworth) on Monday from 2-4 and 6-9pm Vigil prayers at 8:30pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at St Francis Xavier Church, 304 Hwy #8, on Tuesday September 16, 2014 at 11am. Interment in Resurrection Cemetery to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Juravinski Hospital.
