Alice Edna Baker

Passing away from us at Home, Into the Arms of Jesus, Alice quietly slipped into the Peace and Joy of Heaven on Sunday, October 19, 2014, at the age of 99. Beloved wife of the late Kelly Baker (1989). Dear mother of her precious children Bill (Marjorie), Jerry (Hari), Linda (Jim) and Sharon (Chris). Proud grandmother of six and greatgrandmother of four. The best friend of William, Jennifer and Pari. "Remember you are always with me wherever I am." "Gramma, You are the Best." Mum was a devoted homemaker blessed with good health, fierce independence and creativity. She treasured a caring, gentle spirit always helping others with twinkling blue eyes, a sharp wit and sense of humour, she loved to laugh. Loved too much. Too good. Alice enjoyed weekly fellowship with the euchre groups at St Paul's United Church, St Albans Anglican Church, Sir Winston Churchill Seniors and Roxborough Park Seniors. Friends and relatives are invited to Alice's funeral service at Tapleytown United Church, 413 Mud Street East Stoney Creek, on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 1pm. Interment in Tapleytown Cemetery. Donations to Samaritan's Purse (Operation Christmas Child) would be appreciated by the family.
