William G. "Bill" Combs

Age 77 of Hamilton, passed away on March 30, 2012 at Fort Hamilton Hospital. William was born on October 20, 1934 in Hamilton, OH, the son of the late Oscar and Ellen (Bishop) Combs. On December 2, 1961 in Oxford, OH, he married his wife of over 50 years, Lea Etta Smith. William was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps and a member of Stahlheber Road Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Hugh L. Bates Lodge #686 F&AM and a member of the Scottish Rite of Cincinnati. William drove a paint truck for the State of Ohio Department of Transportation for over 18 years. He is survived by his wife, Lea Etta Combs; sons, Curtis (Lori) Combs and Chris (Lisa) Combs; grandchildren, Corey, Chelsea, Christopher, Aaron, Hannah, Carson and Camdyn; sister, Mary C. Beane; and several nieces and nephews. William was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Curtis S., Carl S. and Charles Marion Combs. The family would like to thank the staff of Wellington Manor for all their care and support. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at 10am at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton with Rev. Harold Thompson officiating. Interment will follow in Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Monday, April 2, 2012 from 6-8pm at the funeral home, with Masonic Services at 7pm.
