Shirley Ann Browning, age 86 of Trenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, November 1, 2023 with her loved ones by her side. She was born on February 5, 1937 in West Elkton, Ohio. Shirley was the daughter of the late Fredrick and Anna Virginia (Carr) Pike. She was the second of four children. Her sisters, Violet Lee Taggart (Pike) and Judy Gale Jarrett (Pike), preceded her in death. She was a 1955 graduate of Seven Mile High School. On June 18, 1955 Shirley married the love of her life Doyle Browning. They were happily married for 54 years until he passed in 2009. Shirley worked for Pepsi Cola for years before becoming a full time homemaker. She enjoyed baking, cheering on the Edgewood Cougars, the Bengals, Ohio State, and Reds. She also enjoyed country music. She loved a good sale, and you could always find her prepping for her annual garage sale. She was always the target in her families pranks, but was a great sport about it. Her favorite title was Mother, Nana, and Great Grandmother. Shirley’s sense of humor and sassy character will be remembered by everyone who knew her. The lessons she left with those closest to her are innumerable, and the memories with her will be cherished for eternity by all that loved her. Her exit from the world will create a void in so many hearts, but we know her journey to heaven is a beautiful one. She is survived by her children, Fred (Beverly) Browning, Pam Browning, Jennifer (Marty) Rogers, Julie (Michael) Dietz and Justin (Denessa) Browning; grandchildren, Krista (Chris) Topacio, Ryan (Wendy) Browning, Jacqueline (Jacob) Rowe, Tyler Dietz and Hunter Dietz; great grandchildren, Sawyer Rowe and Kenneth Browning; sister, Gloria Jean Taggert (Clarence), her special care givers Debbie Parker and Tracy Halsey. Along with numerous other family and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 10, 2023 from 11-1pm at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home. Funeral Ceremony will follow at 1pm with Pastor Fred Baker presiding, at the funeral home. Interment will be at Hickory Flat Cemetery. Contributions may be made in her memory to All Paws Matter Animal Rescue P.O. Box 694 Middletown, Ohio 45042.
