Age 51 of Hamilton passed away on Friday, July 10, 2015. He was born in Hamilton on January 21, 1964, the son of Edward and Judy (Alcorn) Shelton. Marty graduated from Hamilton High School in 1982, and he graduated from Miami University in 1998. Marty is survived by his two sons, Martin E. Shelton II and Devan Shae Shelton; granddaughter, Stella Danielle Shelton and her mother, Katie Robinson; parents; brother Doug (Linda) Shelton; Linette, the mother of his children; his companion, Gina Strouble; a special niece, Brittany Shelton and her children Breah and Bryson; and two boys that were like his own, Joey and Derek Lambertson. Marty was a loving and proud father, who truly enjoyed coaching both of his sons in Little League. He continued as a coach for Cause Baseball which was dear to his heart. There are so many good memories of baseball trips with the boys, vacations to Hawaii and other family activities. He was a true Aquarius loving the warmth of the sun and the water with his loving family around him. It was at those times that he was at peace. He was very gifted with his ideas of design in the construction field. At a younger age, he built several homes as an independent contractor, and in his later years he was a realtor. Marty was a dreamer in some ways who had a talent of influencing others with those dreams. As a young man, he had countless friends and relationships. As he grew older he endured a great deal of pain and had several surgeries. He is now at peace. Those of you who knew Marty are blessed, because this guy was so compassionate, respectful, and giving from his heart that you will remember him wearing that big smile that defined him. He has joined his older brother, Edward R. Shelton, who preceded him in death, when Marty was only fourteen. Marty never quite recovered from that loss. He will be truly missed by his family and all who knew him. Private services were held on July 13, 2015 with Pastor Johnny Wade Sloan officiating.
