Lanny M. “Chief” Sandlin, age 41, of Hamilton, died at Hospice of Hamilton, on Sunday, February 5, 2012. He was born in Hamilton on December 19, 1970, the son of Velma Stacy. Chief attended the Hamilton City Schools. He was employed with Hollaender Manufacturing. Chief is survived by his mother, Velma Stacy; sister, Goldie Pike; two uncles, Billy Sandlin and Irvin Sandlin; special niece, Amanda Pike; and close friend, Paul. Funeral services will be held at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton at 11am on Saturday, February 11, 2012, with Pastor Keith Risner of Edgewood Baptist Church officiating. Cremation will then follow. Family and friends will be received at the funeral home on Friday from 5-8pm.
