Dennis J. Sweet

Dennis Jay Sweet, age 55 of Fairfield Township, passed away at his residence on Thursday, June 4, 2020. Dennis was born on July 4, 1964 in Hamilton, the son of Donna Sue (Halcomb) Sweet and the late James William Sweet. On May 31, 1995 in Myrtle Beach, SC, he married his wife of just over 25 years, Mary (Roberts) Sweet. Dennis was an adult educator with the Warren County Career Center in the Heavy Equipment Program, retiring in 2019. He was a US Navy veteran, liked to fish and play poker, but most of all, loved being with his grandbabies. Dennis is survived by his wife, Mary; children, Michaela (Sean) Woodward, Jason (Kylie) Sweet, and Meghan Caton; grandchildren, Nolan Tole, Sebastian, and Haislee; mother, Donna; siblings, Sherry (Tom) Teague and Tim (Sherry) Sweet; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Mike Roberts, Teresa (David) Lewis, and Billy (Julie) Walborn; step-mother-in-law, Linda Roberts; and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James; brother, Chad Sweet; and mother-in-law and father-in-law, Georgia Roberts and Tole Roberts. A Visitation will be held from 5pm until 7pm on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 at Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home, Ross Avenue at South “D” Street, Hamilton. A Funeral Service will follow at 7pm on Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Karen Montgomery officiating. The family would like to thank Hospice of Cincinnati (Hamilton) for the care and compassion Dennis was shown during his final days.
