David J. Beene, Sr.

Age 78 of Hamilton, passed away on Monday February 29, 2016 at Berkeley Square Retirement Community. He was born on July 5, 1937 in Greeneville, TN, the son of the late Rev. James Frank and Pearl (Leach) Beene. David was a Section Manager for General Electric retiring in 1994. He was a member of North Fairfield Baptist Church and Benjamin Franklin Lodge #719 F&AM. David was a family man who loved his work, woodworking, beekeeping, restoring his cars and boats, and as much time boating and skiing as he could manage. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Janet (Weber) Beene; children, David Beene, Jr., Ed (Barbara) Beene, James (Kathleen) Beene and Karen Beene; six grandchildren, Amanda (Mark) Gallondorn, Matthew Turfan, Katherine Turfan, Noah Beene, Veronica Beene and Grace Beene; and brother-in-law Robert (Cindee) Weber. He was also preceded in death by a brother James Hamblin. Funeral ceremony will be held at 2pm on Friday March 4, 2016 at the Webb Noonan Kidd Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Wilson officiating. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Burial Park. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8pm with Masonic Services at 6:30pm at the funeral home.
