It is with heavy hearts that the family of Bill Hall, 75, announce his passing on Wednesday, July 29, 2020, at Drummond Hall enhanced care, Parkland Clayton Park. He passed away peacefully after an agonizing battle with dementia. Born in Washington, England, he was the son of the late William and Isabella Hall. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Gloria, daughter Tiffanie (Chris) Hubbard, son Christian (Rachel) Hall, son Mark (Kathryn) Hall, grandsons Austin, Luke, Cameron, Stephen, and Spencer and granddaughters Maren and Isabella. He is also survived by brother George (Marjorie), Washington, England; brother in law and sister in law Peter and Brenda Barrett, Morpeth, England; sister in law and brother in law Ann and Ken Calvert, Gravenhurst, Ontario, as well as nieces and nephews who loved their “uncle Billy”. Bill and Gloria made their home in Bedford, NS after emigrating from England in 1968, where Bill was a coal miner, following family tradition. He learned he had skills in dental technology and worked in dental labs in Halifax as a dental technician. In 1981, Bill and Gloria opened their own dental technician business, Hallmark Dental Lab, which has just started its 40th year of business under the leadership of his sons. Bill was a generous and dedicated husband, brother, father, grandfather, uncle, employer and friend. He loved spending time with his family, at the cottage, and travelled extensively with his wife and family. We are very grateful to the staff at Drummond Hall for caring for Bill these last few months. When we were unable to see him due to Covid, it brought us solace to know that he was receiving the best possible care. Arrangements are under the care of Snow’s funeral home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, and cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 4 at 2:00 pm. You are asked to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines as prescribed by the NSHA. There will be a private family burial directly after the service. The service will be live streamed at the following link https://funeraweb.tv/en/diffusions/16455/wait.
