William "Bill" Andrew DeMont

Bill was an avid sportsman. He loved hunting and fishing, woodworking, hobbies and puzzles (card tricks) of all sorts. He was a longtime member of the Chester Basin Legion. Bill was a wonderful and supportive father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend. A mechanic by trade, Bill was a successful businessman who owned service stations in Halifax.

Bill will be deeply missed by his mother, Vina Lantz; daughters, Trinda DeMont (Mario Patenaude), Carrie DeMont (Donovan Plumb), and Kellie DeMont (Paul Shore); grandchildren, Will (Shannon), Jonathan, Daniel, Nikolas, Matthew (Haley), Samantha (Neil), Kristopher and Chandler; great-grandchildren, Madison, Jordann, Lawson and Thomas.

Bill was predeceased by his loving wife of 50 years, Amy (Reynolds) whom he has missed deeply since her passing, by his daughter, Susan, and by his father, Quinton.

Visitation will be held Thursday, September 26, from 6 - 8 pm, and funeral services will be held, Friday, September 27, 2013, at 10:00 am, both in J. A.
