Giffin, Walter Leroy - 84, Dartmouth N.S., passed away peacefully November 8, 2022 at the VG Hospital with family by his side. Born in Isaac's Harbour, N.S., he was the son of the late Truman M. and Georgie (Smith) Giffin
Survived by his loving wife Madeline (Maddie) MacDonald, children Steven (Eastern Passage), Sandra (Cristian Worthington) Vancouver, Scott (Eastern Passage) and three grandchildren Lindsay, Lauren and Alex Giffin. Sisters Charlotte (Marven) Hudson, Patricia (Gary) Langley, and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother Truman (Smith) Giffin and sister Lida (Betty) Hudson.
Walter was employed with Irving for more than 40 years representing Commercial Equipment on the South Shore and Annapolis Valley and in later years as manager of several Nova Scotia locations. After retirement in 1996 he owned and operated a small business.
His love of antique and classic cars and VW Westfalia's were a life long hobby. He was a member of Trinity United Church, Timberlea.
Memorial service will take place Saturday November 19th 10 AM, at Snows' funeral home, 339 Lacewood Drive, with visitation Friday November 18th 6-8 pm. Family interment to take place later.
