She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister who was noted for her generous nature. She travelled extensively with her family in earlier years and had many stories to tell. She lived for many years in both Montreal and Ottawa and eventually returned to Halifax where she retired. She worked for Eaton’s for many years and earned many accolades from customers and staff alike, always attuned to the needs of the customer.
Veronica is survived by her son, David Patrick (Christine), Calgary; daughter, Susan Louise (Ken), Montreal; grandchildren, Jennifer, Shawn, Tina, Allanna, Kenneth, Mackenzie, and several great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters, Shirley, Rexton, NB; Florence (Dexter), Bedford, NS; Beatrice, Bedford, NS, and Lillian (Bobbi), Halifax, and her former husband, David. She was predeceased by her brother, John; sisters, Ivy and Kathleen.
The family would like to say a sincere thank you to the staff of Citadel Court of Parkstone Enhanced Card for the loving attention they gave Veronica while she was in their care. Cremation has taken place.
Visitation in J.A. Snow Funeral home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, on Thursday, April 14 from 2-4 pm and 7-9 pm. Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 15 at 2:00 pm in St. Ignatius Catholic Church, Bedford.
