Veronica Jean Fougere

It is with a heavy heart I announce the passing of my Mom, Veronica Jean Cooper Fougere, 62, of Halifax. Jeannie as you all knew her was the daughter of the late James Cooper, and Nancy Stewart.

My Mom passed away November 9th, 2024, at the QE2, with her family by her side. We send thanks to the staff of 5.2 for taking such care in what they do. Our family will be forever grateful.

Jeannie spent her life taking care of others. From looking after her parents, extended family, and friends along the way, to making sure every single kid got across the street safe in her final years. She always put others first. She loved family trips to the KOA, family dinners, and bbqs. She will be dearly missed.

Jeannie is survived by her true soul mate of 45 years, Danny Fougere, her daughters Nancy and Ashley Fougere, her sister friend Rose Hartnett (and family), her pride and joys Georgia, Lilly, Jacob, Cameron, Maddy, and Elly, and her Boston Boy.

Welcoming of guests and service will be Monday November 18th, 2024, at 12pm, at Cruikshank's Funeral Home, Windsor Street Halifax with Celebration of Life to follow at 3pm, Capital Sports Club, Lady Hammond Road, Halifax. All are welcome for food and fellowship. In lieu of flowers, go buy some dog treats and donate to a local organization.
