It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Tim on August 5, 2018, 50 years young.
Tim was a great man, who lived his life to the fullest. He was respected, admired and well loved. To know Tim is to love Tim.
Born in Kentville on December 23rd, 1967, Tim was the eldest son of Thomas Taylor and Marlene (Bligh) Kinsman. Raised with his three siblings, Todd, Jane and Tina, he graduated from Kings County Academy in 1986 and then attended Acadia University where he obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in 1990. Tim went on to meet the love of his life, Dianne, and they married in 2003. In 2005 they welcomed the apple of Tim’s eye, their daughter Samantha. Tim started his banking career with the Central Trust/Toronto Dominion bank in Kentville and took various positions, from New Glasgow to his last stop at the Barrington Street TD Bank in Halifax.
Tim is survived by his wife Dianne (Boudreau) and daughter Samantha; father Thomas Taylor (step mother Jeanne) and mother Marlene (Bligh) Kinsman (step father Carroll); brother Todd; and sisters Jane Manning (Tim); and Tina Sanford (Michael); nephew Dylan; and nieces Addison, Brooke and Claire.
Always remembered for his quick wit and zest for life, Tim was a humble and giving man, who believed in the glass always being half full. Tim was an exceptional athlete and had a passion to coach from a young age, whether on or off the court. He was Samantha’s number one fan and was very proud of her accomplishments and the beautiful person that she is. Tim always took the time to build long-lasting relationships and was always up for anything, which meant a number of special trips to Nepal, Spain, England and Italy. Tim will also be missed by Brownie, the dog he never wanted but ended up loving dearly.
A very special thank you for the care and compassion provided by the doctors and nurses on 5A, Victoria General site. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated.
At Tim’s request, there will be no visitation. A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday August 11, 2018 at 4pm at St. Andrews Church, 1390 Robie St, Halifax. A private interment will be held at a future date.
