Thomas Daniel Sampson

Sampson, Thomas Daniel (Sam) 74, of Halifax, sadly passed away on June 4th 2013 at the QEII Hospital (VG Site) Palliative Care Unit. Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Esther and Thomas Sampson. Thomas retired from 35+ years of working for the City of Halifax. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion and Civic Workers Club. Tom enjoyed playing various sports in his younger years and later watching sports TV. He and his late wife Kathleen were both animal lovers as they had many pets. Thomas is survived by two sisters: Muriel Reece and Beth (Serge) Brisson; one brother: Fred (Marilyn) Sampson all of HRM; many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by 2 sisters and 2 brothers and is now reunited with his loving late wife Kathleen. At Thomas’s request he was cremated. Visitation 10- 11 am Monday at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street with Memorial Service 11 am Monday, Pastor Russ Conway officiating. Burial will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to: The Canadian Cancer Society or SPCA. Thomas will be greatly missed by his family and friends. RIP Sam
