Sylvia Mangos

Sylvia MANGOS of Halifax NS passed away at the age of 83 years to be reunited with her husband, Nicholas MANGOS (1978). Sylvia is survived by her Koumbara, Ioanna Kutsogiannis (Konstantinos Kutsogiannis (2007)), and her two God-Children, Ephthymia and Demetrios Kutsogiannis. Sylvia was known for her love of flowers, blossoms, and trees and they were always an important part of her life. She also maintained the flowers and candles at St. Georges Greek Orthodox Church, Halifax, over many years. She was a volunteer for the Greek Ladies Philoptohos Society of Halifax, was the past vice president of the women’s axillary, and enjoyed working with the parishioners and patrons of St. George Greek Orthodox Church. She participated in may projects and events for the betterment of those around her within the church and the Halifax community at large. Sylvia will be deeply missed by her family, friends and community.

Prayer service will be held on Monday August 21, 2017 at 7:00 PM at JA Snow Funeral Home Halifax, followed by her funeral on Tuesday August 22, 2017, 1:00 PM at St. George’s Greek Orthodox Church, 38 Purcell’s Cove Road, Halifax. Father Panagiotis Maropoulos officiating.
