Sharon Elizabeth Jordan

Jordan, Sharon Elizabeth- April 15, 1946-July 1, 2011, passed away peacefully at the QE II Victoria General. She was the daughter of the late William Patrick and Catherine Isabel (Romo) Jordan. She is survived by her brother, Ryan Jordan (Barbara) of Halifax and her nephew Shaun Jordan, whom she loved dearly, he referred to her as his “second mother.” Sharon or “Shooky” as she was affectionately known in her early school years and “Auntie” as everybody called her in later years, was a resident of Halifax and later of Dartmouth. She had a big heart and was always willing to help others. Sharon was a volunteer at the Dartmouth General Hospital for several years and had a love of country music. She was employed with British Columbia Packers Limited for 22 years and then with Murray Spence Limited for another 10 years. She will be sadly missed. Sharon’s family wish to thank her friends and relatives for their many kindnesses during her illness as well as the doctors and nurses of 8A and Palliative Care at the VG Site, QE II Complex. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Cruikshank’s Halifax Funeral Home, 2666 Winsdor Street, Halifax. Funeral mass will be held on Thursday July 7, 2011 at 11am from St. Catherine of Sienna Roman Catholic Church, Bayers Road. Reception to follow. Family flowers only.
