Sharon Ann Ing passed away at home in Halifax on Thursday Nov 30, 2017, at the age of 76. Sharon was born on January 1, 1941, in Truro; her parents were Nina (Conrad) and David (Tuffy) Davis. Sharon is also predeceased by her best friend and cherished husband of 48 years, Vincent Ing. Sharon was the beloved mother to David (Kelly), Andrew and Denise. Sharon enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and loved each one deeply; Emma, Laura, Hana, Nate, Matthew, and Ella will miss you dreadfully. Sharon adored her younger brother, Fred and his wife, Karen of Ottawa. Sharon had the incredible ability to attract countless people into her life and heart. Sharon was a second mother and big sister to many extraordinary people in her life.
Sharon was a proud graduate of the VG Nursing Class of ‘62A. Her classmates have always remained in a special place in her heart. Whenever they got together, it sounded like they were 18 years old all over again.
Sharon was known as an excellent cook and enjoyed preparing meals for her family and friends. There was always a pot of coffee on and fresh baked goods waiting for the inevitable steady stream of friends dropping in for a visit. Sharon had remarkable friends whom she cherished visits with till the very end of her life. Thank you so much for adding so much richness and laughter to her life every day.
Throughout her life Sharon loved and thrived in the Arts. Sharon was a very talented artist and loved spending time painting with her friends. Sharon, in her healthier days was very involved with innumerable community organizations and took pleasure in her volunteer work. Sharon was very gregarious and enjoyed being around people. Sharon was also a very proud and patriotic Canadian especially when cheering on her country during the Olympic Games.

Please join us for Sharon’s Celebration of Life on Monday, December 4, 2017, from 12:00 – 2:00pm at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to a charity of your choice.
