Age 54 of Halifax, passed away July 11, 2016 at the Halifax Infirmary Site – QE11. Born March 2, 1962, he was the youngest son of the late Lawrence Waldron and Jean Waldron (Martin) Scott worked over the years as parts manager at Steve MacKenzie’s Honda and Mills Metro Mazda. Most recently employed with Detroit Diesel Allison as a warranty clerk where he retired due to poor health. Growing up in Ketch Harbour with his three siblings he acquired a flare for music playing countless “jam” sessions for the neighbourhood children with his brother Mark and best friend Bruce. Scott loved his guitar and drums. He loved his niece Lori and her two children Gavin and Lauren; always wanting updates on what the kids were up to. He had a soft spot for all animals having had many dogs growing up in Ketch Harbour. He especially loved his adopted cat Harriett who kept him company throughout his illness. He will be especially missed by his sister Vicki who shared many a conversation around the daily happenings of Coronation Street, the Maple Leafs and the Blue Jays.Scott is survived by his sister, Vicki Blaxland, brother-in-law, Richard Blaxland, uncle, Bob Martin, nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.Scott is predeceased by his parents Lawrence and Jean Waldron, his brothers David Robert Waldron and Mark Lawrence Waldron. There will be no visitation or funeral. A family graveside burial will be held at a later date. The family would like to thank the doctors and nurses 6th floor (6.2) Halifax Infirmary QE11 for their wonderful care and compassion throughout Scott’s lengthy hospital stay. All your kind words and support meant so much. Nurses are truly “Angels”.
