Bourgeois, Robert Paul “Bob”, Halifax. Born April 8, 1938, passed away suddenly April 15, 2015. He was a son of the late Willie and Bella Bourgeois (Chaisson) of Cheticamp. Bob left home at the age of 17 to join the Air Force. After a 20 year career, he relocated with his family to Halifax, where he began a second career at the V.G. Hospital as a purchasing agent. Above all else, Bob was a wonderful, kind, and patient man who always put his family first. After retirement, his later years were dedicated to helping care for the light of his life, his only granddaughter, Makayla, of whom he was so proud. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Joan (Peters) Bourgeois; his only daughter, Carla and her husband, Roger Sampson, and granddaughter, Makayla Sampson, all of Halifax. He is also survived by his sister, Pauline Slaton, Cheticamp; brothers, Joseph, Halifax, and Raymond, Cheticamp. Funeral mass will be held at a later date, which will be published in this newspaper. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
