

Passed away peacefully on June 26 at the age of 75, comforted by his wife and daughters, following a brief illness. Predeceased by his cherished and only son, Brian Rose; parents, Winburn and Lillian (Lester) Rose; mother-in-law, Pauline Isnor and sister, Carol Rose. Bob leaves behind his wife of 47 years, Janet (Isnor); father-in-law, Al Isnor; sister, Sharon Theriault (Jean-Guy) of Moncton; two daughters, Kristann (Darren) and Michelle (Ian) and five beautiful grandchildren, Lauren, Kendra, Macy, Ainsley, and Colin, who will cherish memories of their summers in Nova Scotia and special moments shared with their Grandad.
Bob was born in 1939 in Shubenacadie, Nova Scotia, the oldest of three children. He graduated from Mount Allison University in 1960 and Nova Scotia Technical College (Civil Engineering) in 1963, enjoying a successful career as a civil engineer. Bob started a consulting business, RTR Engineering, in 1983 retiring in December 2014.
Bob enjoyed spending summers at Shortt’s Lake, golfing with friends, travelling with Janet to new places, and visiting their grandchildren in Ottawa. He was an active member of the Rockingham United Church, including the men’s choir. Bob will be missed by many as a devoted husband, father, grandfather, friend and community member.
The family would like to extend appreciation to the staff, especially Hailey and Helen, of the Victoria General (8th Floor) for their compassion and care during Bob’s final days. Visitation will take place on Monday, June 29 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm in J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Memorial service to be held in Rockingham United Church, 12 Flamingo Drive, Halifax on Tuesday, June 30, at 1:00 pm with reception to follow, burial in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
