Rachel was born July 9, 1961 in Moncton the youngest of 5 siblings whom she looked up to and shared many pleasurable adventures with. She lived life to the fullest and looked for opportunities to travel, try new adventures and appreciate the beauty of her surroundings. She will be remembered for her friendly, fun and loving spirit.
Nothing brought more joy to Rachel then spending time with the love of her life Paul and her family. She &
Paul enjoyed 36 fabulous years together after their zombie or was it Caesars meeting at the Junction Club in Moncton. Their first years of married life began on the ultimate Canadian adventure in Inuvik where Rachel also started her long banking career. From there they transferred to the Maritimes where they spent many happy years raising their children and growing their vast circle of neighbours & friends. As the kids grew older, they embarked on cruises, Disney trips, sun vacations and getaways in the Miata searching for bird houses and tablecloths. Rachel loved a bargain making the most fun out of hunting down yard sales, coupons and military discounts. She always came home with a deal. Even their cats, Chico, Chime & Minou, were spoiled by her treats and little gifts.
Rachel loved any activity that involved her children. She was proud of all their accomplishments. Next came the grandchildren and a new level of love to spread and share. Her greatest joys were in planning and being part of all the celebrations of her family, co-workers and campers at Gagnon Beach.
Rachel’s family & friends extend a heartfelt thank you to the Palliative Team at the VG. In Lieu of flowers,
memorial donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of your choice.
