Being a single mother at a young age, Marlene gave her son the best life by giving him the best of her. Her love had no boundaires as it extended beyond her own home by touching the lives of family and friends.
Marlene is survived by her son, Shawn (Joy); grandson, Jordan; brother, Courtlandt; sister, Irma as well as her nieces and nephews, Chuckie, Penny, Scott, Nikki and Courtney. Along with her parents she was also predeceased by her sisters, Dorothy “Dolly” and Dale and her brother Denis.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 26 from 6-8 at Cruikshank’s Funeral Home, 2666 Windsor Street, Halifax where funeral service will also he held on Saturday, July 27 at 11am. A reception will follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.
