Marguerite Theresa Thelma Clattenburg

CLATTENBURG (Colp), Thelma – 82, passed away at Northwood Centre on March 1, 2013. Born in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late Harold and Marguerite “Maggie” (Haverstock) Colp. She is survived by her daughter Colleen, Halifax; son Darrell (Virginia) Hammonds Plains, granddaughters Ellen Murphy (Jonathan) Enfield; Ann Smith (Derek) Quispamsis, NB; grandson David, at home; great grandsons Jack and Benjamin Murphy; great granddaughter Paige Smith. She is also survived by her brother Harold “Bud” Colp (Rita) Bedford; brother-in-law Herman Fullerton, and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Kenneth “Ken” and sister, Sheila Fullerton. Thelma was an employee of Sears until her retirement. Special thanks to the staff at Northwood 2C and 7C for their kindness and compassion given to our mother while she was in their care. Visitation will be held Thursday, March 7, 2013, from 2-4 and 7-9 at J.A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax. Funeral Service will take place on Friday, March 8 at 10:00 am in Canadian Martyrs Church, 5900 Inglis Street, Halifax. Reception to follow. Family flowers only. Burial will take place in Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Donations may be made to the Canadian National Institute for the Blind, Northwood Foundation, Heart and Stroke Foundation of Nova Scotia or to a charity of your choice.
