We are heartbroken beyond words at the loss of our beautiful Laura Lee who died peacefully on May 19, 2014 at the age of 38. Born in Lunenburg on November 13, 1975, she was the daughter of Violet (Bullen) Bishop and the late John “Jack” Bishop. Laura Lee lived her life with cancer with grace, courage and dignity. She was an inspiration to her family and friends and she touched many with her incredible spirit, warmth, kindness and sense of humour. She was a graduate in nursing from Georgian College, Ontario and a highly respected cardiac nurse on 7.1 at the Halifax Infirmary. She is survived by her loving husband, Stefan LeBrun; mother, Violet Bishop; brothers, Kirk (Janet), Richard (Cindy), Kevin, John (Cindy); father and mother-in-law Paul and Janet LeBrun; sister-in-law Danielle (Jamie) Flynn and many nieces and nephews. Laura Lee loved her family and friends and her “fur-babies” Chester, Phantom, Buster and Tatum and was particularly devoted to the welfare of animals. She was predeceased by her father, John “Jack” Bishop. Respecting Laura Lee and Stefan’s wishes there will be a private family funeral.
