He leaves behind the love of his life, beloved spouse of 54 years Jean Elizabeth (Wright).
Kirk loved carpentry and working with wood. He completed many building projects over the years for family, friends & neighbors. He cherished the opportunity to help others. A strong work ethic, he spent over 45 years working for Canada Packers and the Clover Group in Lakeside keeping perfect attendance for many years and forging many friendships with his co-workers.
Surviving family members include his twin sister Lois Curtis, Hampton, NB, and Joan MacIntosh (John) Perth, Ontario. Nephews Stephen (Kelly) Curtis, Musquodoboit Harbour, NS, Dwayne (Marie) MacIntosh, Barrie Ont. and Stephen Wright of Halifax. Nieces Carol Spence, Hampton, NB, Denise (Paul) Hadley, Dawn Holland (Allan MacKinnon) Halifax, along with several grand-nieces and grand- nephews.
He was pre-deceased by sister, Carol MacIntosh, nephew, Michael Holland & brother in law, Weldon Curtis.
Cremation has taken place under the direction of JA Snow Funeral Home 339 Lacewood Drive Halifax. A Celebration of Kirk’s life will take place at a future date.
