Kenneth George Brown

Age 77, of Williamswood, NS, passed away on May 21, 2018, at the Melville Gardens nursing home where he had been living for the past 5 months. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late Sylvester and Ella (Purcell).

Kenneth was retired for 29 years from Maritime Tel & Tel Co., after a 30-year career. He loved trout fishing, rabbit hunting and watching sports, especially his Montreal Canadiens. Over the years he built 3 family homes and could build or fix anything. He was always hard at work in the yard, around the house, and there was never a project he could not handle.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Faye Elaine (Hart) Brown, his children Martha (Kevin) Henneberry, Christopher (Karen) Brown, and chosen daughter Libby (Benny) DeVine; he was “Pup” to his grandchildren Mitchell (Madeline), Emily, C.J., Kaylee, Cutter, and Jett; brother Clyde (Rose) Brown; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his daughter Christine Brown (Infant), sister Nora Brown (Infant), sister Audrey (Donald) Billard, and nephew Mark Billard.

A funeral service and reception will be held on June 1, 2018 at 1pm, at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Dr., Halifax, NS. A family burial service will take place at St. David’s Cemetery, Portuguese Cove, NS.
