Born in Halifax in 1928, he was the son of the late Thomas and Janet Paul.
He is survived by his wife, Florence (Goldsmith). He will be forever missed by his sons, Gary (Judy), Bruce (Sandra) and his grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Nicholas, Sarah and William. He was predeceased by his brothers and sisters, Margaret, Jenny, Jim, Joe, Bob and Dougie.
He worked most of his career in the Halifax Dockyard. When he was younger he taught Sunday school, led a cub pack, and coached Minor Hockey. After retirement he volunteered at the NS Museums for 25 years. He also sang in the church choir at Rockingham United. He and his wife loved to travel and they visited Bermuda, Florida and many trips to Europe. He was very involved in his grandchildren’s lives and never missed a soccer or hockey game, graduations or birthdays.
Visitation will take place on Friday January 25 from 5:30-8:30pm and Funeral Service will take place on Saturday Jan 26 at 10:00am all to take place in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax.
