How do I love you? Let me count the ways (Elizabeth Bronte). John was a relentless worker, caring for people and family. He lovingly welcomed and nurtured three amazing children. Being appreciated is a wonderful feeling…don’t overlook it. Our dear John – the worst day of our life was the last day of yours.
John was predeceased by his parents Antoine and Olga Moarbes who settled in Tripoli, Lebanon. He is survived by: his wife Rosalie Mae (Inness); sister Thèrésa (Arab), Halifax; Dr. Albert (Arlette) Moarbes, Beruit, Lebanon; Salma Abdelnour and Diana Moarbes, Beruit, Lebanon. Son Antoine (Jill), Halifax; daughter Olga MacBeath (Jeff), Calgary; and son Johnny, Halifax. Grandchildren Samantha, Benjamin, Casey, Anderson, Clara and Maxwell were his pride and joy.
He attended College de Frere, Tripoli, Lebanon and migrated to Canada in 1968.

A visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023 from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and 6-8 pm in J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax, NS B3S0E1. A Mass of Christian Burial will occur Friday, December 8, 2023 at 9:30 am in Saint Benedict Church, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax, NS.
