Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of Dr. Joseph A and Monica (Campbell) McDonald. Greg was a graduate of St. Mary’s University, and while he lived his adult life in Halifax, he never lost his love of Cape Breton.
Greg enjoyed sailing, reading, the study of history, especially local, which he loved sharing with many tourists as a driver/guide for Ambassatours.
Greg was a loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was extremely proud of his 2 children and all their accomplishments. He adored his 4 granddaughters (Alyssa, Cassie, Lily and Layla). He deeply loved his daughter-in-law Tanya, and his son-in-law Matthew (Matt).
He is survived by his wife Michele; daughter Erin and her husband Matthew Dickinson; son Anthony and his wife Tanya. Predeceased by his parents; sister Joan; brothers Alan and Paul.
Memorial service Sunday November 10 at 2:00 pm at JA Snow Funeral Home, Halifax with reception to follow.
