Our dear brother passed away on Dec 29, 2023.
He was the son of the late Arthur Bernard Hobin, Sr. and the late Ella Catherine (Hunt) Hobin, and is predeceased by brother Arthur Bernard Hobin, Jr., and sister Judy George (Cecil).
Frederick attended St. Stephens' school in Halifax. Fred started his career in the printing business at Mitchell printing and Cribby Printing and Halcraft Printing. Fred enjoyed many hobbies like bowling, darts; hunting and fishing and going on ATV rides. He also liked spending time with his family. When Fred retired from Halcraft printing, he moved to Shelburne and enjoyed his home with his chocolate lab dog named Cocoa for 7 years before moving into the long term facility Ivy Meadows in Beaverbank. He is survived by brothers Raymond (Christine Harley) of Sackville, Charles (Perla Hatton) of Lantz; sisters, Nancy Taylor of Bedford and Peggy (Wayne Paquette) of Bedford. He is survived by many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.
Cremation has taken place. A visitation will be held Tuesday January 9th, 2024 from 6-9pm with a memorial service the following day Wednesday January 10th at 10am all in J A Snow Funeral Home. 339 Lacewood Dr. Halifax.
