Joan Helen Brown

Born in Nova Scotia she was a daughter of Harold and Beatrice Perks.

“Mum” loved her husband and family. She was a fabulous cool and kept a spotless home for us all. She found deep personal joy in gardening and playing music with her husband in later years. Some of my fondest memories are of her and I playing games through long winters while hockey was being viewed on the only TV in the house by Dad. The games were fun but the time spent together was irreplaceable and a comfort to me now.

Joan is survived by her daughter Sandra (Brown) Allen, Halifax; sons, Wayne Nelson Brown, Brian Harold Brown and Glenn Samuel Brown; 5 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Visitation will be held on Wednesday January 11, 2017 at J. A Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive from 2-4 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Red Cross Bed Lending Service, VON, Northwood Home Care or Alzheimer’s Society.
