Helen Offman passed away peacefully on July 14th, 2021. Helen was born in Toronto in 1925 to Joseph and Sophie (Goodman) Brown. In 1945, she married the love of her life, Seymour (Syd) Offman. Together they founded and operated Offman Furs for over 50 years.
Helen was a long-time member of Shaar Shalom Synagogue and active in many charitable causes. She volunteered for many years at the IWK Hospital, knitting hats for the newborns. She was an avid shopper, excellent baker and enjoyed golfing and socializing with her many friends.
Helen was predeceased by her husband Seymour in 1999, and her two sisters, Tillie, and Adele.
She is survived by her sons Joel (Ardith), Elliot (Sharon) and Stephen (Melissa). Bubbe, as she was lovingly called, had eight grandchildren, Sarah (Andre), Toba, Matthew, Joshua (Emily), Jayme (Kailey), Jordan, Evan, and Julian, as well as three great-grandchildren, Luc, Evelyn, and Cameron.
Burial has taken place in the Shaar Shalom Cemetery, Halifax, N.S.
