It is with great heartache and deep sadness, that we, the family of Helen LeBlanc, regretfully announce her sudden passing on November 19, 2018. Born March 9, 1935 in Halifax, she was the daughter of the late James Edward and Rose Ann (Shea) Covey. Helen was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. An active lifelong Roman Catholic, having attended St. Pius X, St. Lawrence and most currently, Saint Benedict, she was a member of the Catholic Women's League and the Consolation Choir. Helen's joys in life were her family, friends, her church and spending the last 40 summers at her home away from home, Ocean Surf Trailer Park, Shediac, New Brunswick.
Predeceased by her late husband, Alfred 'Alf' Joseph LeBlanc, and her two daughters, Jane Marie LeBlanc and Karen Ann LeBlanc, brothers, James, Frank and Tom Covey. Survived by her daughter, Rosemary LeBlanc (Mark Gulliver), sons, Alfred 'Fred' LeBlanc and John LeBlanc; her seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; her sister, Mary Norton (late Jack Norton), brothers, Vincent Covey (Gayle), Gerald Covey, and John Kane (Liz).
Visitations will be held on Friday, November 23, 2018, at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax from 2-4 pm and 6-8 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 24, 2018 at 10:30 am at Saint Benedict Church, 45 Radcliffe Drive, Halifax. Reception to follow in the church hall. Burial will take place in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Lower Sackville, NS.
