Hazel (Taylor) Grimm passed away peacefully after gracefully moving through nearly a century of living. She was born in South Lochaber, Nova Scotia and grew up on the family farm. She excelled in school and moved to Halifax to train as a Registered Nurse at the Victoria General Hospital. She married Edward (Ted) Grimm in 1948 and enjoyed 65 years of their loving relationship. After a short stay in Montreal, Ted’s work took them to Toronto until they settled back in Halifax for their retirement years.
Hazel is survived by her brother Eldon and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Ted, her parents, William and Charlotte (Lottie) Taylor, and siblings, Henry, Alex, Viola, Charles, Stirling, Fred, Rita, and Leroy, who died in infancy. The family gives heartfelt thanks to the staff of Lewis Hall and Glasgow Hall, Parkland at the Lakes, for the loving care they provided to Hazel in her final years. In accordance with Hazel’s wish, there will be no service. Internment will be arranged at a later date.
