JOLLYMORE, G.J. "Jerry"— 83, passed away at home August 13th, 2012, after a brief battle with cancer. A beloved, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather born in Halifax, he was the son of Florence Jollymore. Survived by his second wife, Dorothy Willis; daughters, Mary Godreau (Ralph), Joanne Younes (Albert), Janet Spencer (David); son, Paul; stepdaughter, Susan Plumer (Wallace); stepson, John Willis (Linda Conlon); granddaughters, Nadine, Becky, Sara; grandsons, Jason, Nicolas, Devon, Tyler, Jordan, Weston; great-granddaughters, Sierra, Annie Ida; great-grandsons, Brandon, Jaxson. Predeceased by his first wife, Florence and daughter, Anne-Marie. A bellman at the Nova Scotian hotel 1946-1967. Devoted full-time in the Labour Movement 1967-1989, with a passion for his membership. Cremation has taken place under the care of J.A. Snow Funeral Home. No visitation by request. Funeral will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, August 16th in Saint John the Baptist, Purcells Cove Road. Private family burial to follow. Donations may be made in lieu of flowers to the Saint Vincent de Paul Society or Hope Cottage.
