Born in Seabright, Nova Scotia, he was the son of Theodore Lindsay and Olive (Bezanson) Zwicker.
Dad was a World War II veteran, serving 1943-1946 in Belgium in the Royal Canadian Army Medical Corps. He proudly served for 32 years in the Halifax Fire Department (1951-1984). He loved to garden and was always tending to his many flowers and shrubs. Anything dad planted grew well with his love and attention.
Frank loved his search-a-word puzzles, reading, and going for drives with his daughter, Paula, and his chats with son, Lindsay. He loved nature and being by the water. He was the best father anyone would ask for and always put his children first. He will be greatly missed by his family and will always remain in their hearts.
Frank is survived by his daughter, Paula Zwicker (Halifax), and his two sons Lindsay (Karen) Zwicker and David (Donna) Zwicker, and three grandchildren Frank Zwicker, Allen Zwicker, and Angela McAndrew. He is predeceased by his wife, Joyce Cora (Swinamer) Zwicker, his mother and father, Lindsay and Olive Zwicker, many brothers and sisters, and his daughter, Linda Hebb.
Visitation will be held at JA Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive in Halifax, from 7-9 PM, Tuesday, March 29. Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 30, at 10 AM at the JA Snow Funeral Home Chapel.
The family would like to extend their special thanks to the Halifax Fire Department.
