It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Mother, Ethel Phyllis "Tillie" MacDonald of Halifax, Nova Scotia, in her 94th year. She passed away peacefully on December 4th, 2019, at Arborstone Enhanced Care with her loving family by her side. Tillie was born in Pictou, NS, daughter of the late Daniel and Anna (MacCarthy) MacDougall. Growing up in Halifax and after raising her children she ventured out into the work world of retail sales and later worked at Telecommunications with the VG Hospital from where she retired.

She will be greatly missed by her six grandchildren; Carla (Scott), Christopher (Suzana), Natalie, Ryan, Jillian (John) and Sheena (Randy). Also seven great-grandchildren, who lovingly called her Nannie T; Élouise, Zack, Annabelle, Amelia, Daniel, Olivia and Isabelle. She is also survived by her brother, Lyle MacDougall; brother-in-law Ralph Power; sister-in-law, Helen MacDougall and her Aunt Elinor (Patrick) Murphy, all of Pictou and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband, Charles (1986); her sisters, Gladys (Michael) Melvin, Helen (Walter) Clancey, Shirley Power; her brother, Peter MacDougall and her son-in-law, Robert Bower.
Guests will be received at J. A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax on Sunday, December 8th, from 2-4 & 7-9 pm. A celebration of her life will be 11:00 am on Monday, December 9th, from J.A. Snow Funeral Home with Reverend Albert Cosgrove officiating. Burial to take place in Stella Maris Cemetery, Pictou.
