Edgar Graham Goss

Goss, Edgar G., - 73, Halifax, died October 9, 2011. He was the son of the late Robert and Elsie (Fraser) Goss. Beloved husband of Sally (Gurd), loving father of Geoffrey (Joyce), Halifax, and Michael (Susan), Falmouth, special Grandfather of Jillian, Michael and Gregory. Also survived by his brother Bob (Lorraine), Calgary, and predeceased by his brother Donald (Margie), Toronto. Ed will also be fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews.

Ed graduated from Mount Allison University with a Bachelor of Commerce and was employed with Montreal Trust for 41 years. He was actively involved in his community with various service organizations including; the Chamber of Commerce, United Church of Canada, Y’s Men’s Club, Canadian Red Cross and Truro Minor Hockey. He was the recipient of the Paul Harris Fellow Award with the Rotary Club of Canada after over forty years of service.

A very special thank you to the staff of Melville Lodge, who made his final days comfortable and peaceful.

Visitation will be held at J.A. Snow Funeral Home, 339 Lacewood Drive, Halifax on Thursday, October 13th from 6-8 p.m.

Funeral Service will be held at St. Andrews United Church, 6036 Coburg Rd., Halifax, on Friday, October 14th at 11:00 a.m. Burial Fairview Cemetery.
